The knowledge-based company Hamyar Beton Shirkooh (HBS), one of the pioneers in the concrete and construction industry in Iran, proudly announces that it has successfully obtained a license to operate a co-creation center from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidential Office. This license was granted under an agreement with the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, making HBS one of the first companies active in this field.
Co-creation centers, as a new model for developing industrial infrastructure in the country’s innovation ecosystem, aim to create an interactive space and share capacities and capabilities among large companies and industries, including resources, investments, technology, production lines, suppliers, and distributors. The goal of these centers is to reduce operational costs, accelerate the production of new and knowledge-based products and services, and share unused or surplus capacities to develop new products and services.
To achieve these objectives, co-creation centers have been established in five fields so far: health, textiles, polymers, food industries, and artificial intelligence. These centers, supported by the Office for the Development of Innovation and Technology Ecosystem Infrastructure of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, have helped develop capacities and strengthen collaborations among large and knowledge-based companies. This year, four new fields, including the concrete and construction industry, have joined this chain, and Hamyar Beton Shirkooh (HBS), by obtaining a co-creation center license in this area, will play a key role in the development of this center.
The Key Role of Co-creation Centers in the Growth of the Knowledge-Based Economy
Co-creation centers, as a new model for developing industrial infrastructure, play an important role in the growth and development of the knowledge-based economy. These centers, by creating an interactive space and sharing capacities, allow for the optimal use of resources and the development of technological products. The Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidential Office, through signing joint cooperation agreements with large manufacturing companies in various fields, such as the concrete and construction sector with Hamyar Beton Shirkooh Company (Yazd), the textile sector with Sirang Cooperative (Yazd), the petrochemical sector with Karun Petrochemical Company (Khuzestan), the agricultural sector with Parvaz Yaran Sirang Company (Tehran), the thermal and cooling sector with Aban Group (Tehran), the health sector with Fanafarinan & Rahafarianan Business Campus (Tehran), the polymer, plastic, and composite sector with Pakan Plastkar Company (Tehran), the food industry sector with Ehya Naan Iranian Company (Mashhad), and the artificial intelligence sector in CCTV systems with Hoosh System Gil Company (Gilan), has supported the creation and development of co-creation centers for five years.
Mohammad Javad Sadri Mehr, assistant to the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy in the 13th government, stated: “The co-creation center model is a new design for the future of the country’s innovation ecosystem, based on several fundamental principles, including high resource productivity and technological product development.” He added: “With the beginning of this process, it is expected that the market volume of knowledge-based products will experience more than a 300% growth, and the industry will also help in developing productions.”
